What CPD do you need to do?
Assistant Agents (Certificate holders)
Assistant Agents need to complete a minimum of 3 units of competency each CPD year. You will need to have completed all 18 units from Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice qualification and applied for your class 2 licence within 4 years of gaining your certificate or you will be excluded from working in the industry for 12 months.
This means that any agents who held a certificate before the 2020 reforms will need to have completed 18 units of competency and applied for their licence before 22nd March 2024. How many units have you completed so far?
Class 2 licence holders
Class 2 licence holders need to complete 6 hours of CPD each CPD year made up of 3 compulsory topics (1 hour each) and 3 hours of elective topics
Class 1 licence holders
Class 1 licence holders need to complete 9 hours of CPD each CPD year made up of 3 compulsory topics (1 hour each) plus 3 hours of elective topics plus 3 hours of business skills topics
